Chevy’s all-electric vehicle the Chevy Bolt is scheduled to start being built by the end of the year. Chevy announced that it’s $30,000 pure electric car pre-production has begun in order to get the all-electric Chevy Bolt ready for its late 2016 availability date. The company is rounding up testing of their auto-plant tools and process needed to build the car.

To accompany this announcement, Chevrolet released a teaser video of pre-production Bolt vehicles already travelling through its production line in Orion Township, Michigan before production kicks off with Bolt. Bolt EV Chief Engineer Josh Tavel said, “we’re at another critical and important point in the development of the Bolt EV. We’ve moved from working in math and building cars by hand to building Bolt EV’s on the line.” The four-door Chevy all-electric Bolt was introduced at CES 2016, the EV will cost about 30,000 after federal tax credits. The Tesla Model 3 is being introduced next week, that another EV that would be priced around the thirty grand range, tt’s fun to have options, at least, we all can start enjoying electric vehicles not just the super rich.
