Samsung’s plan to release a 5G tablet has just been made official with the announcement of the Galaxy Tab S6 5G. Just as you’d expect the new 5G tablet is basically the same standard Galaxy Tab S6 with a 5G modem (the Snapdragon X50, to be precise). As the name suggests, this means that everything remains unchanged except for the new 5G modem.
You’ll find the same Snapdragon 855 chip, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage onboard. The Galaxy Tab S6 5G comes with a 10.5-inch AMOLED screen alongside other features like the S Pen, the DeX desktop and Dolby Atmos-capable speakers. If you are making plans to grab the tablet stateside, you have to hold on for a while: the Galaxy Tab S6 5G is only available in South Korea, for now. it will be launched in South Korea on January 30th for 999,900 won (about $848). There’s no word on the global release of the slate, we might be getting more info at Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 11th.
