Google Maps Gets Material Design, OpenTable And Uber Integration

A bunch of Android apps have been getting some Material Design goodness recently, and Google Maps app isn’t left out. Google Maps update for Android and iOS comes with the new Material Design, built-in restaurant reservation feature through OpenTable and ridesharing options. The apps comes with more than just the bright colors and a fresh new design, Google Map users with the Uber app installed in their device now get Uber options, pickup times and cost of ride to their destination.

Travelers deciding whether they should take an Uber or brave the frosty winds can now see estimates for Uber’s pickup time and price for their route in walking and transit directions in Google Maps. This option will appear if you have the Uber app installed, where available.

You can check out both the Android and iOS app stores to see there’s an update waiting for you, if not, just hang in there for a couple of days for the update to roll out.
