Late last year, Nike promised us that the back to the Future-styled Nike Mag will be available spring 2016. Michael J. Fox’s character Martin Seamus McFly, better known as Marty, gave us a glimpse of how things would look on October 21st, 2015. If can’t deal with the wait anymore then you’d be happy to know that Nike just unveiled its first “self-lacing” shoe the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0. The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 will sense the presence of your heel, and tighten its laces. Senior Innovator Tiffany Senior Innovator, NIKE, Inc., and the project’s technical lead also explained that the buttons on the side of the shoe can be used to tighten, loosen and adjust the shoe until it’s perfect. There’s no price tied to the Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 yet so I guess Nike lovers have some time to start stacking up some greens.

Nike also confirmed that the new Nike Hyper Adapt 1.0 will be available only to members of Nike+ beginning Holiday 2016 in three colors. If you are not sneaker fan, then my guess is correct that you don’t know what the Nike+ app is. Nike also annouced that the Nike+ app will be coming with a bunch of new features in June.

Starting in June, the new Nike+ app becomes athletes’* all-access pass to Nike’s most coveted products and events via one seamless sign-on. The “plus” now equates to “personal,” and the app connects members simply and swiftly to the Nike+ Run Club, Nike+ Training Club and Nike+ SNKRS apps. It also offers members a personal store stocked with performance product recommendations and reserved invitations to their favorite sneakers. Combining these offerings, the app serves every step of an athletic life — from competition to training to sport-style — propelling members towards their potential.Nike Newsroom
