I just bought a new computer desk yesterday, and putting that thing together was one hell of job. The screws and instructions get on my nerve, as they forget to state you’re going to need second person to help. The high-tech foam furniture that can be squashed beyond its original size for transportation and then expanded just like heating up your popcorn in a microwave. Designer and engineer Carl de Smet is currently working with scaled-down models, and also working on a foam structure prototype which can be assembled when electric current is passed through it.
