Well known PC company ASUS, has just introduced their inexpensive mobile device called the ASUS Pegasus X002. The device will be a mid-range phone but will be priced aggressively ($130) to compete with a budget phone market.

The ASUS Pegasus X002 comes with a 5-inch display resolution of 720P (1280 x 720p), a quad-core 64-bit (1.5GHz MT6732) processor, 2GB of RAM and a 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD. On the back there is a 8MP rear-facing main camera sensor. The rear shooter comes with ultra-picture quality mode and can synthesize a number of pictures together to form an ultra-high resolution 30MP image. It also comes with a 5MP front-facing camera for video chat and selfies. The phone supports a 2500 mAh battery on board. The Pegasus runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Zen UI on top. The Zen UI is smart enough to place your most used apps at the right spot which will save you some time. It supports 4G TD-LTE / TD- CDMA and GSM networks and supports dual SIM dual standby.

We probably won’t see this device in the USA and ASUS may very well keep the production and launch inside of China, but the ASUS Pegasus X002 is quite affordable at $130 (799 Yuan).
